My name is Carrie Gotcher and my husband, Wes and I have 4 kids and live in Midland, Texas. I have a deep love for God’s Word and have seen how God uses it to transform lives. I also deeply love music and writing scripture songs has been such a sweet combination of my passions. God made us to sing and to praise Him. When we do, we are living out His purpose for us and rooting His word into our hearts.
I grew up in Oklahoma and met my husband while studying music education at Oklahoma Christian University. We were married in 2003. We then moved to Kansas City where I completed a Masters degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Wes and I love to travel and see God’s amazing world. We also love to share the Gospel and in 2008 we joined a church planting team to Niteroi, Brazil. We spent 2.5 years there loving the people, the culture and God’s church in Brazil.
We had our first two children there - twins, Graham and Gibson, in October of 2010. They were born at 28 weeks and spent 119 days in the NICU in Brazil. This experience caused us to deeply rely on God and His Word. His word was our lifeline during those difficult and scary days of our babies fighting in the NICU.
We decided to return to the United States in late February of 2011 and moved to Midland, Texas. It has been our home since and where our other 2 precious children were born: Gavin and Caroline. Wes owns a commercial brokerage firm here in Midland. We have been so blessed by our community of church, school and friends in Midland.
